Purcell - March / Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary (Funeral Sentences) Z. 860 (via protestant7)

This one is a weird #earworm that was discussing with Alex Esoterica the other day. I always assumed that this piece was a custom arrangement for A Clockwork Orange, and idiot that I am I never spent the extra two seconds needed to realized, well, duh, with the classical music being a theme throughout the movie, maybe that piece is actually a rearranged classic? Well, it is! It was composed by Henry Purcell for the funeral, and rearranged by Wendy Carlos for Stanley Kubrick’s movie.
